Q: Chad, 46 from OH - Megan, I help coach my daughters 12u travel softball team. My daughter is a pitcher and our only one...the As a coach how do I use her skill at pitching, trying to still win games/tournaments and not burn her arm out either to injury or overuse? And keep her calm when the defense is not working well to limit her pitching. This also leads into another question she feels she has to hit the ball every time at bat to make up for runs scored that were given up be the defense...but right now she is in a huge batting slump.

I think you really need to find another pitcher, even if it's a pick up player for the weekend. One pitcher is a lot on a kid! And there isn't much else you can do if you only have her. As far as her getting mad about her defense, remind her she has no control over those things. So getting upset at it doesn't do anything for her or her team. And remind her that her teammates don't get worked up if she is giving up hits. As far as hitting goes, remind her it's 2 different things and she has to forget her defense when she is on offense. Maybe ask her to clear her mind of pitching the moment she puts her helmet on. Once her helmet is on, then her only focus is on her approach at the plate.

Q: James, 33 from FL - what is your favorite pitch? To hit, curve. To catch, curve.

Q: Juan, 63 from Austin, TX - Megan did you ever dreamed becoming the BEST CATCHER IN THE WORLD? NO way!! :) but I did set my goals on always wanting to be the very best!

Q: Hayden, 15 from OH - I would love to work with you, how can we make that happen ? I am from Ohio. (camp dates?) check out my website: www.MeganWillisSoftball.com

Q: MackKenzie, 11 from TX - when did you really know that you wanted to play professional softball? My senior year of college. I didn't know a lot about the opportunity till I was asked if I would want to play!

Q: Brittany, 10 from NC - How can I get my arch out of my throw from home to second? I can reach second but I lose speed with my arch. Thank you Can\'t wait to see you play in August. LONG TOSS! The more long toss you do do the stronger your arm becomes. The stronger your arm is the faster/harder you will throw. You should play catcher 4-5 times a week.

Q: Taylor, 13 from PA - Do you know the 3 catchers positions/stances and can you explain what each one is? I have honestly never heard of the '3 stances'. I only teach one, and it's a low athletic position that you can stay in comfortably for a long time. This stance should not change even when runners are on base.

Q: McKenna, 14 from Chandler, AZ - What is the best memory of softball before college at UT? First of all, shout out to CHANDLER!! :) That's where I'm from too! My favorite memory is winning the 5A state championship at Corona Del Sol, because it was with my best friends!!

Q: Chip, 49 from IN - What is the biggest difference on the field between the game in Japan and the U.S. professional league? It's a much faster game in Japan. Most games are done under 2 hours, not much of a fan friendly game. Just softball. Lots of one run games, more small ball than big home runs. Great pitching.

Q: Nick, 21 from WI - What if your favorite thing to do, go for the homerun or rip a line drive base hit? Well...Homeruns are awesome!!

Q: Ciara, 12 from NV - At what age will pitchers be more accurate? Well... There is no definite answer to that. Hopefully by 14/15 your pitcher should be fairly accurate.

Q: Jeff, 36 from GA - What drives you to stay motivated to play as much as you do? The fans! Everyone is so great and supportive and I want to make sure I can put on a great show for them so they want to come back! And eventually get so much support that the NPF begins to grow. Then all the little girls watching us will be able to take our spots!

Q: Jessica, 13 from NJ - I am a catcher like you.... do you have any suggestions for strengthening my arm so I can make better throws to second? LONG TOSS!! The more often you play catch, it will strengthen and protect your arm. A nice and easy long toss will strengthen your arm. I warm up and go right into long toss everytime I step onto the field.

Q: Jessica, 13 from NJ - How do you decide on the correct size of a catcher\'s glove? I think its a personal preference. I like a smaller glove with a deeper pocket. As a younger catcher you may want a larger glove, so you feel like you can catch and block more balls.

Q: Brandon, 27 from IL - What drills would you suggest to BASEBALL players to improve their hand speed? For hitting...I would do single arm drills off of front toss to build strength.

Q: Dana, 13 from NC - What persuaded you to become a catcher? When I was 10, I was the only girl who didn't mind getting dirty. Then for real, at 16, because I had a strong arm, I knew how to catch and didn't want to pitch anymore.

Q: Steve, 48 from CA - At what age did you realize that you were good enough to play softball at the college level? I think I realized when I was 14, playing up in the 16U tournaments.
Q: Carolyn, 45 from NC - How do you keep your white pants so clean? Scrub out the dirt first then wash.

Q: What is the most important thing you do in the off-season to stay ready for the upcoming season? The most important things I do is play catch (long toss) and get in the cage for front toss 2-3 times a week. The other is my workout routine, which is more like cross training. I like to mix it up between Bikram Yoga, CrossFit workouts and running/sprinting. Mixing up my workouts seam to be best for my body and keeps me in shape.

Q: Do you practice hitting more so on the field or in the batting cages? In my perfect world I would be on the field hitting live every chance I get!! Realistically, I find myself in the cages hitting front toss.

Q: Do put more time into preparing to hit or catch? At this point in my career I put more time into my hitting. Catching has always came easy to me, but hitting has its end and flows! Because I have had the opportunity to work alongside some very talented hitters I feel that I am always learning something new. Every year I begin to understand 'my swing' and find out different ways to perfect it. With catching, I'm still working on small adjustments, but I don't realize it as much...I guess I'm more mental when thinking about hitting!

Q: You played in the NPF Championship Series this summer, what was your favorite moment?  My favorite moment was playing in the Championship game on ESPN! Though we didn't play as well as we would have liked to or get the results we wanted, we were able to share our game on national television! It's about the bigger picture and every woman in this league shares that same passion! It was a huge step for the NPF!

Q: Water or sports drink? Water!! Sports drinks are too sugary for me.
